<p></p> <p><b>New page</b></p><div>First published in 2012, the Max Planck Encyclopedia was edited by the Institute’s Directors at the time: [[Jürgen Basedow]], [[Reinhard Zimmermann]], and [[Klaus J Hopt]]. Its preparation was supervised by [[Andreas Stier]], building on its German predecessor, the Handwörterbuch des Europäischen Privatrechts. The authors were current or former members of the Institute&#039;s academic staff, supplemented by external authors associated with the Institute. Together with the 120-plus authors, a multi-member editorial team prepared the material for the print edition in the form of encyclopedic keyword entries.<br /> <br /> For the second publication as Max-EuP 2012, the original data was converted in 2021 with use of MediaWiki software by a technical team made up from the Institute&#039;s [https://www.mpipriv.de/editorial-offices editorial department]. This editing process did not involve any updating or revision of the existing text’s content.<br /> <br /> The author information found on the following pages is based on the 2012 print edition.
